"Like much of Dario Argento’s early work, The Bird with the Crystal Plumage is a thing of beauty. It is a piece of cinematic art. It boasts gorgeous set design and beautiful cinematography. Moreover, the wardrobe and styling are a perfect encapsulation of the era in which the film was shot.

"Renowned Italian director Sergio Leone had achieved what many believed to be the pinnacle of success in 1966, following completion of the last film of his famous Dollars trilogy, 'The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly'. Despite receiving universal accolades, he decided that he had said everything he wanted to say, and would not be returning to the Western genre.

"There are moments in film music history where you can listen to a score, and upon its conclusion sit back and be content in the knowledge that you have just experienced a genuine masterpiece. It doesn’t happen very often, because it has to be a perfect combination of everything that can possibly make a film score great.

In remote Antarctica, a group of American research scientists are disturbed at their base camp by a helicopter shooting at a sled dog. When they take in the dog, it brutally attacks both human beings and canines in the camp and they discover that the beast can assume the shape of its victims.

“Italian director Sergio Leone tells the story of The Good the Bad and the Ugly more with pictures than words. Examine the masterful scene in the cemetery. A fortune in gold is said to be buried in one of the graves, and three men have assembled, all hoping to get it. The actors are Clint Eastwood (the Good), Lee Van Cleef (the Bad), and Eli Wallach (the Ugly).
